Its main goals are researching, teaching, and knowledge transfering.

Its interest range from research issues like:

	Ontology of Metrics and Indicators for Measurement and Evaluation.
	Web Product Metrics, and Cataloguing Systems with Semantic Web power.
	Approaches for the Quantitative Evaluation and Comparison of Web site and applications (for instance, the Web QEM methodology was developed - see paper in PDF [355 Kb])
	Metrics automation
	Web Quality Models.

to transfer issues like:

	Web projects consulting
	Technological transfer to public and private organisms (for instance, we developed the La Pampa Free Zone, by contract with La Pampa Production Ministery,  CERET - Regional Center of Technologic Education - sites), and Engineering School at UNLPam, among others.
	Graduate Courses and Seminars customized to public and private enterprises
	Development and evaluations of  Web Applications

The group is currently integrated by 9 researchers, research assistants, and grant-holders. In addition, 4 members of GIDIS are performing specialization an postgraduate studies in different national and international countries (for instance, UNLP, Universidad Politécnica de Valencia, Spain). Besides, research project cooperation and lively exchange exist among these and other universities and institutes (for instance, FAST, Germany, the Ibero American WEST Project).

On the other hand, some members participate in transfer activities with the Centro Regional de Education Tecnológica (CERET). By means of this public organism, GIDIS perform teaching and technological transfer mainly to public and private enterprises of La Pampa province and neighboring regions.
