He has achieved a Doctor degree (Apr. 2000) in the area of Software Engineering in the Web (Facultad de Ciencias Exactas, UNLP, Argentina), and he is also Master on Software Engineering (1998) at UNLP, with the valuable guide of Dr. Gustavo Rossi.
He is Associate Professor at UNLPam (Universidad Nacional de La Pampa), Argentina, and leader of the GIDIS group. He has lectured in different national and international Universities in the area of Web Engineering (particularly, in Web Metrics and Quantitative Evaluation)
In addition, he is director in the Web Metrics and Models for Evaluation research project,
supported by the "Programa de Incentivos, del Ministerio de
Cultura y Educación de la Nación", and "Engineering School at UNLPam".
Currently, he is part of the WEST Project (Web-based Software Technology) in which twelve R&D Groups of seven diferent countries are participating (i.e., Spain, Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Portugal, Chile and Colombia).

His main research interests are in the field of Web Engineering, web evaluation methods, web metrics and automation, semantic web, and object-oriented technologies for distributed environments.
Currently, he continues researching in quantitative strategies for Web quality evaluation (Web QEM Doctoral Thesis disserted in 2000 [2,7 Mb in pdf format, and in Spanish]), and its supporting tools (Website MA and Web QEM_Tool). They were running case studies on museums, academic sites, and e-commerce bookstore sites. Besides, he is investigating on web metrics automation, and cataloguing under the semantic web approach. On the other hand, he was researching distributed software architectures in order to implement an application for the control and monitoring of Web-centered domotic functionality, among others.
